More About Aseel

This photo of the snow sculpture, expressing human sympathy with all those who face the frost of snow in every place and time, is a human sculpture, expressing the feelings of the refugee shivering with cold, in all parts of the world, this ice sculpture is about a woman with her child putting her purse on the side of the road waiting for any glimmer of hope of surviving this snow but they did not find the shelter that protects them from the roaring cold, so, in the end, they turned into a rock of ice.

Aseel Azizieh did this sculpture on the street of Dumlupinar Cd Kvakli Mh Beylikduzu Istanbul Turkey in January 2022.

Azizieh has been working on her case since 2012 [The refugees]. she is the founder of Aseel Art Academy for kids and youth around the world, and she is also one of the founders of the Allwebdeh View Gallery of Culture and Arts in Jordan and she is the General Manager of the Gallery from 2015-2019. Also, she is the Secretary of the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association in Jordan From 2016-2020. She is a member of the administrative board of the Jordanian Society for Creativity of Friends of the Culture and arts of Artists in Jordan. She is a member of the jury for many local and international competitions for schools and universities.

She has local and international awards and prizes. She has experience as an art teacher in the schools of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for 12 years. She worked as a community volunteer from 2007-present. Azizieh is a Lecturer and supervisor of workshops and she was the organizer, supporter, and sponsor of the three bazaars to empower women and youth. Aseel Azizieh painted 3 huge murals in three governorates in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to support the King Hussein Cancer Center. She organized The children’s photography competition “Hope” was organized in support of the Al-Amal Cancer kids Center.

Statement

There is no method to my approach. I paint chaos with colors that I choose without thinking and then try to bring order to that chaos of colors. The process is trance-like; there is an implied trust that in imperfection I can endure and find beauty. And suddenly I meet the new characters that are created in my artwork.
