Traces of Passage 2020

This artwork from “Civilization Echoes” series. called Traces of Passage.

Traces of Passage reflects on the subtle imprints left behind by time, movement, and human presence. The composition unfolds through vertical layers that resemble worn surfaces—like walls touched by countless hands, or landscapes shaped by invisible forces over time. Each line and texture suggests a journey, a moment that has passed yet continues to exist as a trace.

The interplay of light and dark tones creates a quiet rhythm, echoing the repetition of footsteps, days, and histories unfolding. These surfaces appear both constructed and eroded, as if they have endured cycles of presence and absence. Nothing is fixed; everything feels in transition, marked by what has come and gone.

Within this restrained visual language, the work invites contemplation of time not as a single direction, but as an accumulation of experiences. The traces are not loud or explicit—they are delicate, almost hidden—yet they carry depth and meaning.

Traces of Passage speaks to the idea that every movement leaves a mark, even if it fades. It is a meditation on impermanence, memory, and the quiet evidence of existence that remains long after the moment has passed.
