Who Is Aseel Azizieh
Aseel Azizieh is a Jordanian visual artist known for her multidisciplinary practice spanning sculpture, painting, murals, and design. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to exploring the relationship between nature, simplicity, and emotional depth. Through organic forms and thoughtful compositions, she creates pieces that evoke a quiet sense of wonder and contemplation. Her sculptures, in particular, reflect a compelling balance between lightness and weight—both physically and conceptually—offering a unique contrast that defines her artistic voice. Azizieh’s practice often engages with ideas of balance, imbalance, and, above all, energy, which she considers the driving force behind all forms and experiences. She holds a BA in Translation from Al-Zaytoonah University in Jordan and an MA in European Studies from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) in Georgia. Largely self-taught as an artist, she has developed her practice independently, guided by experimentation and intuition. Aseel Azizieh continues to exhibit her work internationally, with a mission to place art in the service of humanity. Her work frequently addresses humanitarian themes, with a particular focus on the experiences of women and children.
Aseel Phylosophy
“My work is a dialogue between nature, form, and inner energy. I am drawn to simplicity—not as absence, but as a space where depth can exist freely. Through sculpture and other visual expressions, I explore the tension between balance and imbalance, lightness and weight, presence and void.
I often work with natural materials or forms inspired by them, allowing the process to guide me rather than controlling it completely. Each piece carries a sense of discovery, as if it already exists and I am simply revealing it.
At the core of my practice is energy—the invisible force that shapes everything. I aim to translate this energy into tangible forms that invite reflection and emotional connection.
Beyond aesthetics, my work is deeply connected to human experience. I believe art has a responsibility, and I strive to use it as a voice for humanitarian issues, especially those affecting women and children. Through my work, I hope to create moments of awareness, empathy, and quiet transformation.”
