Approach
This painting was painted in 2020 the curfew period during the Corona pandemic. It is 110 cm high and 135 cm long. It was included by Azizieh in The Unknown Destination series. The painting was called Approach
Under the title “Approach,” the painting is no longer a static image; it becomes a captured moment of movement. The heavy, dark pigments in the center seem to be surging forward or “encroaching” upon the lighter, ethereal blue space above. It creates a feeling of something massive—a storm, a mountain, or a memory—moving closer to the viewer.
Artist’s Statement:
“Approach explores the tension of the ‘coming moment.’ Through a turbulent interplay of earth-bound textures and celestial blues, the work captures the energy of transition. It is a visual representation of moving toward the unknown—where the boundaries between where we are and where we are going become blurred by the sheer force of the journey.”
